East Meets West - Holistic Nutrition for Maximum Weight Loss

Hi, my name is Elie Goldschmidt and this is my story. When I was 14 years old my aunt was diagnosed with cancer. Despite surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments the cancer still spread to her bones and her lungs. Her doctors told her there was nothing more they could do. She refused to accept a death sentence and with nothing left to lose, stopped all western medical treatments and adopted a macrobiotic diet and lifestyle. Though the odds were against her, the cancer regressed and she made a full recovery. She documented her journey in a book Recovery from Cancer: One Woman's Struggle with Cancer & What She Did to Beat the Odds. Her experience had a tremendous impact on me and I began to change the way I ate. I devoured books on the relationship between food and health, took classes, and eventually earned my Master's Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Using my knowledge and passion for healthy food and lifestyle, I've created this unique weight loss program to help you learn about a variety of exciting foods that promote weight loss and enhance your health. You will be able to infuse your diet with fresh flavors that you are probably NOT eating yet and learn how to prepare and enjoy organic, clean foods for total body health.

It will take a fresh vantage point to truly conquer the weight loss battle, while at the same time promoting optimal health. In a quest for answers I began digging deeper into traditional Chinese medicine, which has been practiced for thousands of years. In ancient China food was thought to be both a cause and a treatment for disease. When an individual was sick, practitioners would first change the patient's diet to improve their health.
